Spanish and Intership in Latin America

Doing an internship abroad has so many benefits in our globalizing world – and Latin America offers great opportunities. Employers, universities and colleges are looking for students or professionals that know how to interact with others in a cross-cultural manner, that can speak Spanish or more than one language, that are innovative thinkers and have experiences that no one else has.

Partaking in an internship abroad gives you the chance to network with professionals from a different part of the world and even a chance to get a job offer working in a different country. You will gain the skills necessary to approach unique or challenging situations and how to navigate new environments. Our students will also gain first-hand experience in their field while being part of an irreplaceable adventure in Latin America.

Most Spanish and Internship programs have different time requirements and can be adapted for those looking for shorter or longer term placement in Latin America. Recommended internships are in tourism and marketing, social work, medical placements, translations and education. There are also options in computer science and the environmental area.

An intermediate or advanced level of Spanish is required for most placements. We recommend you start an internship with an intensive Spanish course.
