Why Study Spanish in Playa del Carmen:
The Spanish lessons in Playa del Carmen run from Monday through Friday. You can take private Spanish classes, group lessons, or a combination of both. All the Spanis lessons are designed to help all students develop their maximum potential. The group classes are small, with a maximum of 8 students, and have a duration of 55 minutes. There are special Spanish programs Spanish for kids, teenagers, seniors, and Spanish for Spanish teachers. If you would like to take part in the DELE exam to certify your Spanish level, there are special DELE preparation courses.
The Spanish school in Playa del Carmen has a residence for the students at 15 minutes walking from the school. This residence is a Mexican house in the Caribbean style, with a kitchen, living room, and a tropical garden. WIFI and breakfast are included. Another option is a shared apartment, at walking from the school. For a truly authentic immersion experience, a host family is a place for you. Staying with one of the host families in Playa del Carmen is a great opportunity to learn more about the Mexican culture and improve your Spanish.
There are lots of different activities to take part in during your Spanish program. The school also organises typical Mexican Fiestas with Mexican food and drinks for students, staff, friends and families.
Playa del Carmen is an idyllic beach town in the area of Yucatan - located in the heart of Mexican’s Riviera Maya - with fine white sand beaches and blue-green waters. Playa del Carmen was once a small fishing village, but it is now a small but lively, modern city popular with tourist and expats. Mayan archaeological sites like the World Heritage Chichén Itzá are nearby! Playa del Carmen is a great place for relaxing on the beach, and there is a varied nightlife. If you prefer action, there are many different water activities such as windsurfing, jet skis, kayaking or diving in the impressive Mayan coral reef. Playa Del Carmen is a great hub for independent travellers with endless opportunities for exploring the Caribbean sea.
You can choose to participate in a volunteer program in Mexico after having completed your Spanish course. This way, you will have the opportunity to better your Spanish and get a personal look into the Mexican culture. The volunteer program in Playa del Carmen takes at least two weeks and requires a Spanish level of at least B1. There are volunteer projects in Mexico in different fields, from social projects to medicinal opportunities. You can also do an internship at the Spanish school for all fields of study for a minimum of 8 weeks.
