The Spanish program in Santo Domingo de Heredia offers Spanish lessons for every Spanish level. Spanish classes are from Monday to Friday and have a duration of 55 minutes with breaks in between. There are programs of 20 or 30 hours a week, with the option to take group classes, individual classes, or a combination of both. There is a maximum of eight students per group. Before starting your course, you will take a written and oral placement test to determine the appropriate Spanish level for you. There is also a special program for Spanish for 55+ and Spanish for DELE.

There are great tours to do in Santo Domingo de Heredia and surroundings. It is only a short ride to the capital San Jose, where you can walk the central avenue to visit shops, museums, cafes and restaurants, or you can do the increasingly popular Beer Tour.
In Heredia itself, you will enjoy the spectacular architecture of and the cathedrals, forts and basilicas that adorn the city. A great day trip is a visit to the Arenal Volcano to see the flowing, red lava and combine this with a visit to hot springs. Other options are the La Paz Waterfalls or take a cruise to Isla Tortuga. A very popular activity in Costa Rica is river rafting: Costa Rican rivers have wonderful whitewater rafting features, that are environmentally-conscious.
