Would you like to experience the Uruguayan culture and lifestyle? Then come study Spanish in Montevideo! Our Spanish school is situated in ´Parque Rodo,´ in a residential area where you will find multiple bars, shops, restaurants, the National Library, the University of Architecture and a lovely park. In just five minutes walking distance, you will be in the centre of Montevideo. And if you are interested in sports, there is a sport park close by, where you can get in contact with the locals to have some fun and practice your Spanish.


Spanish Program in Montevideo Spanish classes are offered every week throughout the year. Any level, from beginner to advanced, is available. There is a maximum of 6 students per class in order to maintain high quality. In addition to group classes and individual classes, the school also offers Spanish for 60+, a children´s course, a teenager´s course and Business Spanish.

The classes will be given in Spanish to ensure total immersion and maximum results for students. All teachers are certified in Spanish philology and have much experience in teaching languages. In addition to the classes, the students also have the opportunity to ask questions about specific topics after class.


There are three options for accommodation in Montevideo: a homestay family, the student residence or an apartment.

Homestay in Montevideo

If you really want to immerse yourself in the Uruguayan culture and practice your Spanish as much possible, then a host family is the best option for you. The families are selected with care, ensuring a safe and comfortable stay for all students.

Residence in Montevideo

We also have a student residence located in the school. The residence has five double rooms and other shared facilities, such as a kitchen, a lovely terrace and a living area. Bed sheets, towels and weekly cleaning are included.

Another residence is located within 10 minutes walking distance from the school. You can book rooms with or without a private bathroom. The kitchen, living room and rooftop terrace are shared with the other students.

Apartments in Montevideo

If you would like to live more independently, the school offers private apartments in various neighbourhoods throughout the city. All apartments are furnished and have a private bathroom, kitchen, living room and double bedroom.


Activities during your Spanish Program After classes in the afternoon, the school organizes many activities, such as:

  • Horseback riding
  • A tour through the Old City
  • Punta del Este and Piriápolis
  • Guided tours to Legislativo (Parliament), Teatro Solís (South America's oldest working theatre), the botanical gardens, the panoramic lookout in the municipal government building, and the Blanes art gallery

  • A night out at a local bar or café
  • Bike riding along the seafront promenade

You will also find a lot of parks, where many book fairs, markets, carnivals and other cultural events are held. It is a very green city and therefore offers a wide range of sporting activities.


Excursions in Montevideo Practice your Spanish while enjoying the company of a Uruguayan local guide! Go horseback riding, biking, rafting , kayaking, diving or windsurfing. There are plenty of active excursions that allow you to explore the countryside of Uruguay or its beautiful coastline. The school also organizes jeep tours, visits to museums, botanical gardens tours and visits to hot springs. The staff will be more than happy to help you arrange your trip through Uruguay!


Volunteer Program in Montevideo If you would like to enrich your experience in Uruguay by practicing your Spanish while spending time in the community, then volunteer work is the perfect avenue for you. In order to participate in a volunteer program in Uruguay, you first need to take an intensive Spanish course to allow for better communication with the local people. Volunteer options involve working with children living on the streets, volunteering in a home for people with a mental disability, teaching English to children, working at a biological farm, working with whales and dolphins or protecting sea turtles.
