SPANISH SCHOOL IN LIMA, PERU
This school offers Spanish language immersion courses in Peru's capital city of Lima. This is the "City of Kings", where the Spanish Viceroy once governed much of South America. Students learn Spanish at our school located in the modern seaside district of Miraflores, one of the most beautiful districts in Lima.
Once their Spanish class ends, students participate in our afternoon city walking tours, dance classes and our cooking workshops. Students are quick to discover that Lima is full of places to explore, and that the mix of old and new make this dynamic Latin American city worth an extended visit.
Our school offers a certified academic program in a friendly atmosphere. The intensive program exposes students to the Spanish language and Peruvian culture all day, every day. By attending intensive classes and living with a Peruvian family, students have a unique opportunity for the fastest language learning possible. Our Academic Program is accredited by the Peruvian Ministry of Education. The school's size allows us to provide a properly structured learning program while guaranteeing individual attention for every student. Classes begin every Monday and have a maximum of eight students. The friendly atmosphere has been a highlight for many of our former students.

HISTORY OF MIRAFLORES
The history of Miraflores is as old as the history of Peru itself. For thousands of years, people have lived in this beautiful area where the cliffs overlook the Pacific Ocean. Traces of ancient cultures, such as the Huaca Pucllana, can still be found nearby. Shortly after Lima was founded in 1535, Spanish colonists began to populate the area, and named it San Miguel de Miraflores. In the 1800's the area gained popularity as a beach resort and by the end of the century it had evolved into an exclusive residential neighborhood. By the 1950's, Miraflores had become an important commercial center that rivaled downtown Lima. The development threatened the district's original charm and, in the 1990's, the municipality began an aggressive campaign to recuperate green areas such as parks and medians to recapture the district's original beauty.
